Bradfords Building Supplies has donated £10,000 to men’s health charity Movember after smashing its target of 50,000 views for its Men’s Health Week video. More than 185,000 people saw the video message to check in on a mate over the course of the awareness week (13-19 June 2022).

Sports stars including Exeter Chiefs RFC and England player, Henry Slade, plus Somerset County Cricket Club captain, Tom Abell, featured in the video which was hosted across Bradfords’ various channels including YouTube.

Bradfords agreed to donate £10,000 to Movember after 50,000 views but the video has now been watched over 185,000 times. The donation was made with the support of Stonemarket, Dulux Trade, Tarmac and Polypipe Building Products.

David Young, CEO of Bradfords Building Supplies, commented, “Bradfords is always looking for ways to help change the industry’s perception of mental health, so Men’s Health Week was a great opportunity for us to encourage our customers and team members to check in on those that they care about. It is so important we keep this momentum and continue to take care of each other. Thank you and keeping talking.”

Paul Malloy, Head of Marketing at Bradfords Building Supplies added, “We did it! Across numerous different platforms, more than 185,000 people have seen our super-important message about checking in on a mate during Men’s Health Week and beyond, absolutely smashing our 50,000 target, and enabling Bradfords to proudly donate £10,000 to the good folks at Movember so they can continue their vital work taking care of men in the South-West, and up and down the country too.

“Thanks so much to everyone who’s supported us in spreading this message - especially our partners Exeter Chiefs RFC and Somerset CCC, and our good friends at Polypipe, Tarmac, Stonemarket and Dulux Trade - your support has made a massive difference.”

“Take care of yourselves and take care of each other. And never forget to harness the power of checking in on a mate."
