The Wave Project is inviting people in Devon to paddle out LOUD for mental health at a fancy dress paddle board event along the stunning River Exe on 3 June.

Paddle Out LOUD is a family-friendly event that enables people to try paddle-boarding in a safe environment – while celebrating positive mental health.

The event is part of a series of unforgettable fancy-dress paddle across the UK. Hundreds of paddlers will be paddling a craft of their choice in fancy dress. Participants can also choose to set up a fundraising page to raise funds for the charity’s work in helping young people to surf free of charge.

Wave Project Event Coordinator Corinne Jones said: “We’re so stoked to be hosting Paddle Out Loud in Exeter! We hope to raise lots of funds for our surf therapy courses and look forward to watching the paddlers.

“It’s fundraising events like Paddle Out Loud that make it possible for the Wave Project to help change the lives of many young adults and children deemed to be at risk of life-long mental health issues.”

Paddle Out Loud is not a race, it’s a fun, family friendly event that is open to everyone. A great team bonding day and a way to get friends and colleagues together for a day of fancy dress fun on the water.

Paddle Out LOUD Exeter will be taking place along the stunning River Exe, on 3rd June. The 5k fancy dress paddle paddle will allow paddlers to see Exeter in a new light, heading from the Quay upstream to near the Mill and back. Paddlers and spectators can end the day enjoying some musical delights on the Exeter Quay.

Registration will take place at 10.00am with the first paddle launching at 10.30am. Paddles will set off every 30 minutes thereafter.
