Go-Kart Party a success for Age UK Exeter and Princesshay

Children having fun on electric go-carts rides in Princesshay this summer has raised over £600 for Age UK Exeter. Operators Go-Kart Party donated 10% of all takings throughout the summer to Age UK Exeter as part of the continued annual charity partnership between Age UK Exeter and Princesshay.

Go-Kart Party manage the pay per ride electric Go-Karts in Princesshay Square, running on a track specifically designed for 4 to10 year olds eager to have a go at being a racing driver.

Nathan Martindill of Go-Kart Party said: “We were delighted to bring the go karts back to Princesshay for 2015 and it’s been great to see everyone enjoying it so much. We have had great fun and are very proud to have raised over £600 for this fantastic local charity and the amazing work that they do.”

It has been great working with both Go-Kart Party and Princesshay this year and we hope that everyone has enjoyed their time trying out their racing skills.”

Princesshay announced Age UK Exeter as its charity partner for 2015 in February and has been working with local charity throughout the year on events and fundraising activities.

For each £1 donated to Age UK Exeter, 91p is spent providing support and opportunities to older people in Exeter. The charity is responsible for its own funding and is governed by a locally elected board of Trustees. The team work hard to respond to each person as an individual by being flexible, valuing diversity and fighting against ageism.
