Princesshay Charity Christmas Festival celebrates second year
Princesshay’s Charity Christmas Festival, now in its second year aims to raise both awareness and funds for local charities.
The Lord Mayor of Exeter switched on the 30 charity Christmas trees in a celebratory light switch on event on Friday night (21 November).
The 30 Christmas trees and their lights have been donated by Princesshay for the festival and local and national charities have been invited to decorate the trees.
Each tree will have a unique and personal look which represent sthe charity that has decorated it. Visitors and shoppers can to donate money to their chosen charity.
Wayne Pearce, Princesshay Centre Director said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the participating charities to raise awareness and funds through this festive event. It will add extra sparkle to Roman Walk this Christmas and will give it a really festive atmosphere.”
Princesshay’s local charity partner Dream-A-Way will be one of the 30 charities taking part in the festival. Jeff Merrett, Chairman of Dream-A-Way said: “We absolutely love the idea of the Charity Christmas Tree festival. It’s a brilliant opportunity for us to engage with visitors and shoppers to Princesshay and to help rais the awareness of our charity.”
Enjoy Christmas in Princesshay with a host of festive activity on late night Thursdays until 9pm.
