Staff and customers of WH Smith Exeter store are set to trek across Dartmoor, completing 30miles over 2 days  on 10th/11th June 2017 in aid of mental health charity Mind.

Richard Boyter, 33, who works for WHSmith in Exeter, is walking with staff and customers to raise £1000 by trekking across Dartmoor.

Starting at Fingle Bridge with the Finish at Bovey Castle. Richard has been inspired by the company's 225 fundraising campaign but this has become a more personal challenge after experiencing issues with his own mental health in the past year.

Richard wants to raise awareness as well as vital funds for Mind, which provides support and advice for anyone experiencing mental health problems.

Richard said, “I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to organise this event The Walk and Talk Dartmoor Challenge, in aid of Mind. This is one of the toughest, yet most rewarding things I have been involved with. Knowing the money I raise will be used to improve the lives of people living with mental health problems throughout the UK is amazing. If this event proves to be successful I hope this will become an annual fundraiser that I can be involved with.  The support I have received from the local business and other charities has been phenomenal, especially  Bovey Castle, SW Lakes Trust and Mind.  I'm looking forward to the 10th June when the real challenge begins I'm hoping to Thrive and not just Survive.
