Art with Artists for 11-16 year olds

Young people will have the opportunity to work and play with professional artists and theatre makers this Easter.

Nature-inspired Textiles and Devised Theatre are amongst the activities that 11 to 16 year olds will be able to take part in during Art With Artists – a four-day programme run by Significant Seams in partnership with Exeter Northcott Theatre.

The activities include:

Experimenting with the natural colours of plants and sunprinting with textile artist Catherine West

Devising a performance and learning acting skills with the Exeter Northcott Theatre's Professional team

Contributing to a Crediton Community Project exploring the textile and natural heritage of mid-Devon with Catherine West and Naomi Wright

Young people in receipt of free school meals are able to access the programme for FREE thanks to funding from Devon County Council. A limited number of places are also available for FREE for young people with a SEND designation. Others can book for £40 per day. Every session includes a hot meal, an informal talk by an artist and practical art sessions for the participants.
