Birthday celebration on Ladies’ Night
Celebrations will be in full swing on Ladies’ Night at Exeter Racecourse this year which beautifully coincides with Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday on Thursday, April 21.
Finest outfits are the order of the day as judges walk around the racecourse to select the finalists for the coveted Best Dressed Lady and Best Dressed Gentleman competitions.
There will be special footage of Her Majesty The Queen shown on the big screen, a bottle of champagne will be given to the 90th person through the gate and to the person who buys the 90th racecard and owners of horses running in the Many Happy Returns HM The Queen Handicap Hurdle will be asked of they can sport a special crown designs on their hindquarters.
The first 200 ladies’ through the gate will receive flowers and a goody bag including gifts from Clarins. There are also fabulous prizes to win for the best dressed racegoers including a two night stay dinner and breakfast at the sumptuous Luttrell Arms on Exmoor, hampers filled with delicious goodies, kindly given by Devon Hampers plus many more.
Ladies’ Night is a date for the diary when the glitz and glamour of racing descend on Haldon Hill. Young and old, male and female can enjoy a fantastic night out, with children aged 17 and under racing free.
The seven races get underway at 4.55pm and including the and there is an early bird offer on admission tickets with 25 per cent off when booked before midnight April 15. After this date standard advanced ticket pricing applies.
For those wanting to make it an extra special night, enjoy a meal in the Desert Orchid Restaurant, or buy a special Haldon package which includes premier admission.
A free bus to the racecourse leaves Exeter St Davids at 3.15pm and Exeter Bus and Coach Station at 3.30pm and returns 30 minutes after the last race.
