Exeter School’s Art Department is delighted to announce that two A Level Art pupils were prize winners at ‘The Exeter Art Show’ held on 4 and 5 July at The Maynard School.

Miles Johal in the Lower Sixth was awarded first prize for his semi-abstract acrylic painting of architectural features, winning £250.

Miles visited the exhibition on Saturday and said: “it was a lovely surprise to discover that I had won the prize, particularly given the wide range and high standard of pupil work on display.”

Clara Finnigan in the Upper Sixth was also a prize winner, coming third place and awarded with a cheque for £50.

Head of Art, Alison Dyer, said: “This is the first time we have entered pupils into The Exeter Art Show and it is fantastic to see their talents being recognised in this way.”
