Junior School teaching assistant swaps support for singing
An Exeter Junior School teaching assistant alternates between providing pastoral care by day to performing in a band by night.
Lead vocalist and keytar player Hannah Trimming is a familiar and friendly face in Exeter Junior School but few may know about her love of music.
A graduate in professional music performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford, Hannah has always been interested in music of all styles.
As a schoolgirl she toured a few countries in Europe playing bass and trumpet and providing vocals for a jazz band and as an adult she has performed in many venues throughout the UK with bands and choirs. More recently, she held a deputy MD position in a local ladies a cappella chorus.
Hannah is currently the front woman of local Devon party band, Eat the Rich, a role she has held for three years. Eat the Rich have been going for roughly 16 years and their set includes covers of many pop and rock songs, ranging from ACDC to Lady Gaga and everything in between.
“I have always had a great interest in music from all styles. I am sure if you were to take a peek into my music collection you may be surprised by quite how eclectic and varied it is!” said Hannah.
“Although we are a covers band, you can always expect something a little different as we always add a little Eat the Rich twist! We play regularly on the pub scene all over Devon, perform at various festivals and also do function work such as weddings and parties all year round!”
