£1,000 available to Exeter groups
RGB Building Supplies’ ‘Well Built Community Fund’ has already given away £1,000 worth of building materials to a charity, sports club and most recently a primary school.
The builders merchant, which has a branch on Alphinbrook Road, is now asking for community groups based in Exeter to get in contact and apply for the grant.
The Community Fund is helping various groups to complete work that they wouldn’t have otherwise been able to do. Perhaps a community centre is in need of some decoration, a youth group would like to create an outdoor area, or a church hall needs updating – whatever the project, RGB would like to hear about it.
Rob Allen, Operations Manager at RGB Building Supplies, commented: “As a proud member of the Exeter community, we are fully aware that there is a wide range of fantastic groups in the area that don’t have the funds available to update their facilities or complete a project. This is where the Well Built Community Fund comes in. We would like to encourage those groups to come forward and tell us how £1,000 worth of building materials will be of benefit to them.”
Community groups can nominate themselves by contacting RGB Building Supplies and explaining what project they need building materials for and how the support will help them. One group will be chosen from all the nominations to receive £1,000 worth of materials.
Nominations can be made by emailing RGB@pmwcom.co.uk or by sending a letter to RGB Community Fund, c/o PMW Communications, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon, EX39 9DU. The closing date for nominations is Monday 1 December.
The Well Built Community Fund will also be supporting care homes in the future. More details on this will be announced shortly.
Full terms and conditions can be found on the Community Fund page on RGB Building Supplies’ website, www.rgbltd.co.uk.
