Join Dartmoor National Park Rangers, Volunteer Wardens and staff for 2 minutes @ 2pm on Thursday 23 June at Spitchwick, Deeper Marsh, for a #2 minute litter pick (as seen on BBC Springwatch!), to tidy up the popular picnic spot.

This area always suffers from recreational litter, despite our efforts to keep it clean and tidy, so we would love you to help for just two minutes!  We are meeting at the car park at Deeper Marsh (Ordnance Survey grid reference SX 713712) and will spend some ‘tidy-up time’ to get Spitchwick, spick and span…gloves and tools provided, and of course a treat for your efforts!  See you at the car park – if you would like more information please email Ranger Ella on ebriens@dartmoor.gov.uk

Bude resident Martin Dorey started the #2 minute beach clean campaign a couple of years ago and it is growing in success and fame. People from all over the world are now taking part in #2 minute beach cleans and are posting their litter picking pictures to social media sites to highlight the problem of litter on a world wide scale. This is the first time this campaign has been brought inland.
