ABode bring Christmas cheer to Air Ambulance crew
There are many people who work over the Christmas and New Year period, due to the nature of their job. Devon Air Ambulance crews, along with all other ambulance and emergency services are no different.
Heléna Holt, Chief Executive of Devon Air Ambulance Trust said: “I would like to thank Matt Collins and Michael Caines of ABode who have gone that extra mile and are cooking and delivering our Exeter on duty crew with a special festive lunch on Christmas Day. This is an amazing and generous thing to do and really does encompass the true spirit of Christmas, where we have the chance to help and give to others.”
She added “I would like to ask everyone to spare a thought for all of those who are working over the Christmas period. We are proud that we are here 365 days a year for anyone who should need us. We are now working towards being there for longer and in 2016 we aim to be flying until 10pm. In 2017 this will extend to midnight, giving Devon an even better service.”
Matt Collins General Manager of ABode and Michael Caines said “We are delighted to be able to do this for the Devon Air Ambulance crew. It’s a great way of giving back to those who are there for us within our community. I would urge other companies to consider getting involved and spreading some festive joy this Christmas.”
