Bake-Off Dame wows shoppers at Santa's Grotto launch

Visitors to Otter Nurseries had to look twice when they came face to face with a pantomime character that looked rather familiar.

Under the costume and make-up was none other than former Great British Bake Off contestant, Glenn Cosby.

Otter Nurseries Marketing Manager, Sabine Taylor said: “Glenn caused quite a stir in the garden centre as he chatted to families and their children.

“Many also had a date with Santa, and it made their day even more special to meet Glenn, too.”

The larger-than-life character was at the garden centre to promote Exeter Little Theatre Company’s next production Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, which is at the Barnfield Theatre from December 27 to January 9.

Glenn, who is playing Mrs Ali, and other enthusiastic cast members provided excellent entertainment for everyone through the day.
