Body recovered in Tamar during search for Jordan Cobb

Police searching for a missing teenager from Plymouth who jumped from a ferry on New Year's Eve have recovered a body.

At just before 5.00pm this evening, Wednesday 16th January, police received a report of a body in the Tamar River on the Torpoint side of the ferry crossing.

A Ministry of Defence Police launch, together with Coastguards searched the river and at around 5.15pm a body was recovered.   Police will now make enquires to establish the identity of the body.   The family of Jordan Cobb have been kept fully informed of events. No information regarding any formal identity is expected tonight.
