Bumblebee fair at Saxon Brook in Exeter

Redrow Homes is welcoming visitors to its Saxon Brook development in Pinhoe, Exeter for a bee themed bonanza in celebration of their partnership with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

The event, on Saturady 1 September, will also be a showcase of some of the fantastic local food and drink the area has to offer.

The free one-day event is open from 11am-4pm and will see a range of superb Devonian produce on sale from ice cream and local fruit and vegetables to gourmet jacket potatoes, nachos and burgers. There will also be a pop-up bar where visitors can quench their thirst with beer from a local brewery.

Redrow will be treating the first 50 visitors at the event to a free cake from a tantalising array.

From face painting and pebble decoration to honey tasting and a talk from a beekeeper, the outdoor event is sure to leave guests buzzing.

There will be a competition on the day where visitors will have the chance of winning a family pass to Quince Honey Farm.

The fair is being held as part of Redrow’s ongoing commitment to creating thriving communities.

Commenting on the event, head of sales, Annie Williams, said: “We’re truly committed to creating an environment that bumblebees can also call home so we’re very excited to welcome visitors to Saxon Brook for some bee-themed fun.

“The event will also be a great opportunity for potential homebuyers to get a taste of what the area has to offer with the wonderful food and drink suppliers we have coming along.”

Visitors on the day can view the show homes on site at their leisure and the Redrow sales team will be on hand to answer any questions about the development and the local area and all it has to offer.

The truly unique development boasts beautiful landscaped areas designed to encourage pollinators and when complete will have a trail of sculptures running around it with information about the bumblebee species.
