Car believed to be involved in fatal collision recovered from Exeter St David's car park
A car has been retrieved from Exeter St David's following a collision in which a woman was killed.
The fatal collision happened in Trewiston Lane, St Minver in Cornwall on Tuesday 19th July 2106 and an appeal was launched to locate the vehicle thought to be involved.
Police last night recovered a Landrover Defender, thought to be involved in the incident, from the car park of Exeter St David’s railway station for forensic examination.
The male driver of the vehicle was located in London shortly after midnight last night (Wednesday 20th July) and has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and of failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision. He is currently in custody in Plymouth awaiting interview by police.
At this time police are not looking for any other vehicles in relation to the incident and would like to thank all members of the public who got in touch with sightings of possible vehicles.
