The newest addition to the Plymouth food and drink scene has opened its doors in spectacular style, creating 40 jobs for local people.

Cosy Club Plymouth celebrates the joys of relaxed dining, drinking and lounging in a fabulous, welcoming setting: think aristocratic abundance with a dash of local village cricket pavilion pottiness.

Its magnificent menus veer happily from light salads to comfort food classics, from coffees and smoothies to some of the finest cocktails around! If that’s not enough, there are comprehensive brunch, gluten free and vegan menus so there’s something for everyone!

Amber Wood, Managing Director for The Cosy Club, says: “We are thrilled to open Cosy Club Plymouth and can’t wait to welcome the local community through our doors. We’ve been looking at opening a site in Plymouth so it’s exciting for us to finally be here! For those who will visit us for the first time, you can enjoy everything from a tasty brunch, a lunch with friends, or an evening of decadent cocktails, set apart by our incredible team, the quality of our food and drink, and the nostalgia of our design.”

For the first month, Cosy Club Plymouth will be donating funds from the sale of each coffee and burger sold to older people’s charity organisation, Independent Age. The charity provides free information and advice for older people and their families on care and support, money and health and mobility, along with friendship services to relieve loneliness.

Matthew Wilkley, Assistant Director of Fundraising at Independent Age, commented: “We're thrilled that The Cosy Club has chosen to support Independent Age – the money raised will help fund our work to improve the lives of older people in Plymouth and beyond. Our vision is for the UK to be the best place to grow old in, and to do this we need continued funds to support our work on the issues so we’re very grateful for Cosy Club’s support.”

Guests will be able to enjoy various deals throughout the week – including Breakfast Club: Monday – Friday, 9am until 11:30am - order any brunch item and any size hot drink for £8.50, Teatime Tipple: Enjoy any two cocktails for just £9.95 between 4pm-8pm Sunday-Thursday, Marvellous Mondays: enjoy a free drink with any main meal from 5pm and Tremendous Tuesdays: choose any three tapas dishes and a glass of wine (after 5pm) for £13.95.

Guests can also enjoy a free pot of tea every Wednesday between 10-11am in Cosy Club’s Free Teas for those in need, that bids to help fight loneliness.
