Do you know of an individual, group or organisation in Devon who could benefit from a grant of up to £500?

Crimebeat grants of up to £500 are available to people who can demonstrate that their project will have a positive impact on the local community and help cut crime. Of particular relevance are projects which can influence young people who are at risk of offending.

Funding comes from money recovered from criminals via the Proceeds of Crime Act and seizure of assets.

Head of police for Devon, Chief Superintendent Paul Davies said: “I’m delighted to be able to support this initiative and ensure this money is put back into the community where it belongs.”

Crimebeat is a national initiative which aims to empower young people to make a difference in their local area by encouraging them to get involved in community projects. It aims to provide opportunities for young people to use their energy and imagination to develop crime prevention initiatives.
