Bicton College students and their four-legged friends are pleased to be moving to their new dog grooming centre on the East Budleigh campus this month.

Relocating from the current building to newly developed facilities as part of the new Animal Husbandry School means students studying animal care will now benefit from state-of-the-art equipment in the dedicated dog grooming centre.

Bicton College offers several dog grooming courses at different levels, and students are currently in need of dogs for washing and drying, trimming and nail (claw) clipping. All breeds and ages are welcomed, with pooches being pampered for all occasions!

The College also houses dog kennels, where dogs can holiday happily whilst being entertained with dog agility training and walks across the beautiful 200 hectare campus grounds.

Maria Church, Associate Lecturer in Dog Grooming says, “The students are very excited to be moving to the new dog grooming centre and we want them to fully utilise the new resources available. We’d love local residents to get in touch and treat their dogs to a spring spruce-up, helping the students gain their qualifications and the canines gain a glossy coat to be proud of.”

Owners looking to book in their dogs for grooming should call David on 01395 562384 or email DWColbert@bicton.ac.uk. A small fee (£8 - £12) will apply. Dogs should be up-to-date with vaccinations, flea and worm control.
