Staff and residents at Barchester’s Cumberland Grange care home in Exeter had a fantastic time celebrating National Prosecco Day on the 13th August, along with a selection of delicious cheeses from Quicke’s Cheese Shop in Newton St Cyres.

With the glorious weather that we have had of late, celebrating this National Day in the garden of Cumberland Grange was a huge thumbs up from all of the residents. Whilst the main focus should have been the Prosecco, seeing as it was National Prosecco Day, the highlight of the afternoon was most definitely the cheese. Quicke’s Cheese Shop provided Cumberland Grange with a whole variety of different flavours ranging from Mature Cheddar to Elderflower and Oak Smoked.

General Manager Julie said: “We love to celebrate a National Day here at Cumberland Grange, and knowing our residents and their love for delicious foods and drinks, we couldn’t not celebrate National Prosecco Day. Family and friends were invited along to join us too, so we spent the afternoon in the garden together with lots of smiles and laughter. A great time was had by all.”
