Exeter care home residents and staff support Movember
Residents and staff at RMBI Care Co. Home Cadogan Court in Exeter supported Movember this week to raise awareness of men’s health issues.
Ladies and gentlemen at the Home, some in their 90s, had a giggle donning fake moustaches to pose for photos, and enjoyed an afternoon tea.
Movember, the month formerly known as November, is when brave and selfless men around the world grow a moustache and women step up to support them, all to raise awareness and funds for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer and male suicide.
The Home’s Activities Coordinator, Emma Allan, said: “Supporting Movember has proven to be a great way for our Home to prompt discussion and raise awareness of men’s health. It is so important that we encourage gentlemen to be more open about their mental and physical health.”
RMBI Home Cadogan Court is run by RMBI Care Co., part of the Masonic Charitable Foundation. Residents are able to meet with their loved one in the Home’s Covid-secure visitor pod.
The Home is also currently able to safely welcome new residents. For more information, please visit: http://www.rmbi.org.uk/
