Exeter Enterprise Rotary's £2k donation
More than £2,000 has been raised for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust thanks to the Exeter Enterprise Rotary Club Golf Day at the Exeter Golf and Country Club.
Organisers thanked members of the public and the Marines for supporting this annual event now in its sixth year.
Gordon Peacock, from the Rotary Club Golf Day organising committee, said: "I would like to thank the Deputy Lord Mayor, our Rotary District Governor Barry Rendal-Jones, people of Exeter for supporting this Golf Day and at the same time raising more than £2,000 to support the injured and wounded Royal Marines”.
"From the feedback we have received, the Golfers enjoyed the day so much that the date for next year has been booked in already. Everyone connected with the Golf Day, while somewhat fatigued because of the hot weather, was thrilled that everything went off without a hitch”.
"It was a great day and once again a great big thank you to the people of Exeter for their support”
