Exeter girl competes for Miss England title

Molly-Anne Keehner, 19, a supervisor from Exeter, is currently one of 30 contestants competing in the first Miss England semi final heat for 2015.

The public vote is now well underway and she needs the support of her local community before voting lines close in order to secure a place in the Miss England semi-final held in June 2015.

Molly-Anne is hoping to win by being voted one of the top 3 in the heat. If she does reach the top 3 her fate will then be in the hands of the panel of judges, which includes Miss England 2013, Kirsty Heslewood, who will decide who is the most photogenic, and will receive a place in the Miss England semi-final.

The current Miss England is Carina Tyrrell, 24, from Cambridge, a student Doctor who will be representing England at Miss World in London on December 14th 2014.  Miss England is the only competition in the country to send its winner in to Miss World which has a top prize of 100,000 dollars .

The winner of this heat will go on to compete in the Miss England 2015 semi-final, where she will be in with the chance of securing a place in the grand final next year .

The ultimate winner of Miss England 2015 will spend her year raising awareness for various charities and will receive a whole host of prizes worth £30,000, including a luxury holiday to Mauritius the dream holiday destination and a place in Miss World 2015. 

In the last three years over £550,000 has been raised by Miss England contestants to help disadvantaged children around the UK.
