Exeter Veterinary surgery to celebrate 10 year anniversary
Companion Care Vets, situated in Digby’s Pets at Home store, are celebrating their ten year anniversary by inviting 200 of their clients and suppliers to an open evening event.
The event will take place at the practice, in the Pets at Home store, and attendants will be treated to champagne, a charity raffle, music and much more.
The open evening is taking place on Saturday 19th April, with guests invited to attend between 5-8pm.
Veterinary surgeon Chris Eiermann, who single handily opened the practice ten years ago, can hardly believe the anniversary is here. He said:
“The ten years went by like a steam train really! We had zero clients when I opened this place and the team has now tripled if not quadrupled since then. We started with a team of five and now there is 15-20 of us. The ten years have just flown by.”
Speaking about why the practice decided to mark the occasion, Chris said:
“It was my idea to celebrate the occasion. I think it’s special and it’s a milestone. When I started I didn’t know what I had let myself in for and ten years later we are a big business. We didn’t know it was going to work when we started, it was a risk, and now it is a good established surgery with a good team.”
During the practice’s ten years they have performed treatments and cared for a wide range of animals.
“We see mainly dogs and cats but we also see small furry animals like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. I personally see a fair few birds and reptiles so we deal with the whole spectrum of pets. We are normally called to look at absolutely anything from simple flea and worm prevention to looking after animals who have been in car accidents and suffering major injuries.”
Despite there now being multiple veterinary surgeries in Exeter, Companion Care remain ambitious.
“We are going to extend the surgery in a few months. The whole shop will be refurbished and that will be a reason for another party! We are going to get better facilities and be able to offer more services.”
