Sports fans will be able to find out about Exeter's sporting history at a series of free talks starting at the weekend.

The illustrated talks have been developed by Exeter's Red Coat Guides as part of the city's Festival of Rugby celebrating this year's Rugby World Cup 2015.

Starting on Sunday at 11am at the Custom House down on the Quay, the 90 minute talk will explore the sports played in Exeter from Roman times until the present day. It will include references to and anecdotes of some of the great sporting events and personalities that have graced the city over the years.

Follow-up talks will be held on Friday 9 October at 2pm and
Thursday 22 October at 2pm.

This event is free but spaces are limited, so to book a space, call Exeter Visitor Information & Tickets on 01392 665885.
