Christmas is a magical time of year for all of us, and the staff at Angela court always try to make Christmas as special as possible for the residents that stay with them.

Throughout the festive season the residents have taken part in all number of activities, making Christmas tree decorations, singing carols, putting up their Christmas cards and of course partaking in much mince pie eating. A particular highlight was a visit from Willow the Donkey who went along from Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary.

Christmas day was made a real treat by thier chefs especially, a full Christmas lunch was served with all the trimmings, with the lights on the Christmas tree twinkling and music playing in the background, the atmosphere in the home was nothing short of magical.

Angela Court is recognised as an Investor in People and cares for some of the most vulnerable elderly in the community; the care team boasts an excellent reputation for its high quality care. The home has the advantage of an elevated position, with extensive, well-tended gardens and breathtaking ‘countryside’ views from all angles of the home.

Home Manager Teresa Docherty said: “For some of the residents Christmas can be a bit lonely as their families might live far away, we always try to make a huge effort to make Christmas special and ensure that no one is left out – I would personally like to thank all the staff that worked over the Christmas period, battling with awful weather and still coming to work with a smile on their faces and making the home feel wonderful.

"As always thank you to all the staff that made the afternoon so special, our activities co-ordinators do a fantastic job at creating events and activities for our residents to enjoy and of course, special mention must go to Willow who was impeccably behaved!"
