Firefighters called to dishwasher blaze in Exeter
Firefighters were called to fire at an Exeter home this morning (Monday 11 April).
Two fire appliances from Danes Castle attended the blaze at a house in Norwich Road, Exwick after reports of a dishwasher on fire.
On arrival crews found the dishwasher was well alight and got to work using two breathing apparatus sets, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan.
The ground floor kitchen was slight damaged by fire and the remainder of the ground floor severely damaged by smoke.
A total of four breathing apparatus sets were used in total.
