Food Festival fun for all
The Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink is just over a week away and there are treats galore in store for visitors
Taking place from the 25th to the 27th of April, the annual event will once again be held in the courtyard of Exeter Castle and the surrounding Northernhay Gardens, in the heart of Exeter.
The Festival also includes two evening Festival After Dark Events featuring live music, chef demos and a great atmosphere.
Now in its 11th year, the 2013 festival attracted around 20,000 visitors, with people flocking to Exeter to indulge in top-notch South West food and drink, see national TV celebrities including past finalists and winners of shows like the Great British Bake Off and Master chef, to learn from the many cookery demonstrations and workshops and to enjoy family hands-on activities.
The Festival Cookery Theatre will be taking place in the Courtyard of Exeter Castle, as well as the Festival Bar, the VIP lounge, sponsored by Exeter Golf & Country Club, and a host of stalls serving delicious food and drink through the day. During the evening, here you will find The Festival After Dark, taking place between 24th-26th April 2014.
There will also be two large Food Pavilions in Northernhay Gardens and outdoor catering stalls featuring over 100 individual producers selling a mouth watering array of food and drink. Further attractions there include the Darts Farm Food is Fun Teepees with demonstrations and hands on activities, the Festival Gardens bar, the Little Cookies at the Festival, and Fermoys Grow Your Own.
