Gina inspires with dementia session

A Dementia Awareness Session, given by Gina Awad, was organised as part of staff training at St Thomas Health Centre.

This event was a huge success with staff coming away feeling inspired and motivated to help with promoting Dementia Awareness.

Dementia touches many people and our staff wanted to show support for those who live with, or care for, people with Dementia.

The staff at St Thomas see the effect that Dementia has on people's lives every day and we were moved to help Gina, who is our local Dementia Champion, with her quest to raise awareness and funding by trekking The Great Wall of China. We decided to help raise monies by organising a sponsored cycle ride from Exeter to Exmouth on Saturday 11th April
