Guardian Angels of Exeter to be Remembered

A Polish Second World War Night-Fighter Squadron will be remembered on 15th November at Exeter, the city where the Polish 307 Squadron was based between April 1941-April 1943 defending Great Britain from enemy bombers at night.

The event, Guardian Angels - 80th Anniversary Flag Ceremony takes place exactly 80 years to the day that the squadron presented the city with the Polish flag to represent international friendship and cooperation.

The event, which also includes a free exhibition in both English and Polish between 14-16 November, will be attended by by the Polish Ambassador to Great Britain, a contingent from RAF Brize Norton, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Devon, and the Lord Mayor of Exeter.

The event is organised by 307 Squadron Project in conjunction with Exeter City Council.
