Heavy rain warning in Devon
Outbreaks of heavy rain spreading slowly eastwards across South West England are likely to hit Devon from 3pm this
later in the day before clearing away east in the early hours of Wednesday.
The Met Office has warned that with the ground remaining saturated, people should be aware of the risk of further localised flooding within the warning area.
The rain is also expected to lead to minor disruption to transport.
The Met Office's Chief Forecaster said: "A frontal system will move east across South West England later on Tuesday clearing east in the early hours of Wednesday.
"A further 10-15 mm of rain is likely with locally 20-25 mm possible on south-facing upslopes. With the ground remaining saturated only relatively modest amounts of further rain could cause localised flooding."
The Environment Agency currently has 10 flood warnings and 19 lesser flood alerts active in the South West mainly due to the lasting surface water from the recent bad weather.
