If you’re looking for a constructive and fun way to burn off a few Christmas calories, then the East Devon District Council Countryside team may well have the answer.

You are invited to join the team at Knapp Copse Local Nature Reserve (on the Seaton road, less than a mile from the Hare and Hounds pub) on Saturday 25 January between 10am and 3pm to help create a new footpath.

No previous experience is necessary; all you need is a reasonable level of physical fitness.

Tasks will include scrub and tree clearance and the end result will be a circular route around this stunning nature reserve, with its wonderful views over the East Devon landscape.

If you’ve always wanted to try your hand at practical conservation volunteering, here’s a great place to start!

The event is subject to suitable weather conditions, so booking is essential – call 01395 517557 or email Countryside@eastdevon.gov.uk
