Home crafters wanted for Christmas fair
Are you a home crafter?
Do you have some handicraft, jewellery, artwork, ceramics, woodwork, textiles or festive food you’d like to sell?
Then book a table at a Christmas fair at Exeter’s new and exciting community centre on Saturday 5 December, 1pm-3pm.
“Come along to The Beacon in Beacon Lane,” said centre manager Richard Cummings. “This will be our first big public event and we want to welcome everyone, both stall holders and local people to come, have a look around, enjoy a fun, festive time, with stalls, refreshments, a visit from Santa and a local choir singing carols. This will be a great opportunity for home crafters to sell their goods.
“Our amazing volunteers have nearly finished decorating The Beacon. It’s looking light and bright, with freshly painted white walls and a lovely new ceiling installed by our fab volunteers. It will be a great space for a great community event.”
Already we’ve already got a number of stall holders, Traidcraft will be selling ethically sourced Christmas gifts, local Labour councillors have a cake stall (thanks Emma Morse!) and a local women’s group from Refugee Support Devon is taking a stall.
Willowbrook School will be selling rag wreaths while the Campaign for Eastern Fields will have a children's lucky dip, a teddy raffle and Christmas bric-a-brac. We’ve also got a lovely stall selling beautifully crafted African goods which will make great presents.
As well as inviting home crafters we’re also having a small table top sale of children’s clothes and toys.
Book up soon for this amazing opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship. It’s just £5 for a five-foot table please call 07746 363284 or email: thebeaconcentre.org@gmail.com
