It's the end of the road for Exeter's Shelley Smith
34 year old Shelley Smith from Exeter became the second contestant to leave this year's X Factor tonight.
Shelley, who has made her mark on the competition with her playful and determined personality, once again found herself in the sing-off alongside Kingsland Road.
Gary and Sharon both opted to save their own acts which put the votes at one a piece while Nicole chose to send Shelley home.
The final judge to reach a verdict was Louis, he would have to vote to send Kingsland Road home to keep Shelley in the competition, but unfortunately decided to send her home.
Gracious in defeat, she told Dermot "I just want to say thank you to X Factor. I've had the time of my life and Mrs. O is amazing."
Sharon, who has now lost 2 acts in the first 2 weeks of the process, added "I'm gutted, I'm absolutely gutted. I can't...put it into words."
With Shelley no longer competing, Teignmouth lad Luke Friend is the only remaining contestant flying the flag for Devon.
