John Lewis partners with Age UK Exeter to offer IT and Biscuits Day

ITea and Biscuits Week takes place this week (16-22 September). A popular annual event, it aims to encourage older people who don't currently use computers, the internet, tablets and smartphones to discover the benefits this technology offers.

During the week, local Age UKs and other organisations will run free 'taster sessions' across the country, at which older people can learn about technology in a friendly and supportive environment. These events will cover a wide range of useful topics such as using the internet, texting, and digital photography, to name but a few.

So if you know an older person who is interested in learning more about technology, or you would like to deepen your own knowledge, why not see what ITea and Biscuits Week events are happening in your area?

As part of this national campaign, AgeUK Exeter and John Lewis have teamed up to offer Taster Sessions for people in later life to learn how to make the most of digital technology. IT and Biscuits Day will be held at John Lewis on 19 September (10-12pm, 12-2pm and 5-7pm).
