Kirk Hills proud to sponsor Exeter Power 50 Awards
Kirk Hills Chartered Accountants were one of the main sponsors for the Exeter Power 50 Awards held at the Forum, University of Exeter on 7th November 2013. The event itself was the brainchild of Kirk Hills’ David Kirk.
The Awards, in their inaugural year, were a great success with over 160 of Exeter’s most influential business men and women attending the Reception evening.
There were five awards across five categories – Community won by Karime Hassan from Exeter City Council, Creative Arts and Media won by Camilla Hampshire from RAMM in Exeter, Large Business won by Professor Sir Steve Smith from the University of Exeter, SME Business won by Tony Rowe OBE from Sandy Park and Sport won by Julian Tagg from Exeter City Football Club. There was an additional presentation for the City’s Most Influential Award, won by Michael Caines MBE from ABode.
David Kirk presented the award to Professor Sir Steve Smith from the University and said about the evening, “We were thrilled to have been one of the main sponsors of the Exeter Power 50. We wanted to recognise the key individuals in Exeter who are driving the city forward and I believe that all the winners were very worthy of their awards. It really helped to highlight how much has been done and is being done in Exeter.”
