On Friday 20 September, Living Coasts staff and volunteers will be at Beacon Cove for a beach clean.

They will be on the beach - right next to Living Coasts, Torquay’s coastal zoo - from 11.00am to 1.00pm. Everyone is welcome to join in and help keep our beaches and oceans clean and free from pollution.

Why is beach cleaning so important? Waste and litter in our seas are a constant threat to some of our best-loved marine wildlife. There is the constant danger of animals accidentally eating or becoming entangled in litter. In addition to marine wildlife, beach litter is also hazardous to people, especially sharp items and glass bottles. So please help us and make a difference.
