Local care home celebrates Chinese New Year
Staff and residents at Cumberland Grange in Exeter welcomed in the Year of the Tiger with a day of celebrations and activities.
Inspired by Chinese cultures and traditions, residents enjoyed learning all about Chinese New Year thanks to John, Tesco’s Community Champion. John gave a fascinating talk followed by serving up a variety of different Chinese foods.
It was a brilliant afternoon linking up with Tesco to provide residents with this Themed Eats and Wine tasting session.
Michele, General Manager of Barchester’s Cumberland Grange said: “We had such a brilliant afternoon, our residents really enjoyed John’s talk and tasting lots of different sweet and savoury Chinese foods. We are very grateful to be able to work closely with Tesco to provide our residents with these great events.”
Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
We’re making our homes as safe as possible and will ensure that all new residents and staff are vaccinated before moving in or working in our homes. Please do give us a call on 01392 357 270 if you are looking for care or need any further help.
