Local care home donates to Exeter Foodbank
Cumberland Grange, a Barchester care home in Exeter, recently presented Exeter Foodbank with crates packed with food collected by the home.
Exeter Foodbank do a fantastic job supporting local families and the local community. Cumberland Grange wanted to do all they could to help this deserving charity, especially in these challenging times over the festive period.
Bethanie Cheffings, General Manager at Cumberland Grange said: “We are always keen to show as much support as we can to local charities. We have so many charitable residents here at Cumberland and when we mentioned the Foodbank Christmas appeal, they were very keen to support. Staff and families of our residents also wanted to get involved and help, so together we have been able to do a really wonderful thing. Many people fall upon hard times and it is really sad to think about people needing to rely on the Foodbank over Christmas. It means a lot to us to know that our donations will really help people this Christmas.”
Pauline, Resident at Cumberland Grange said: “Donating food is such a wonderful thing to do. I just can’t help but want to support.”
