Residents at Cumberland Grange in Exeter celebrated British Flowers Week which took place from 03-09 June. Founded by New Covent Garden Market in 2013, British Flowers Week is an annual celebration of the wealth and variety of British flowers, plants and foliage.

Residents took part in their favourite flower-based activity which was a wonderful flower arranging session which everyone really enjoyed.  Their collective knowledge about flowers gained from years of gardening experience was very impressive. Residents then proudly dotted their beautifully arranged flowers around the home.

Jogie, General Manager at Cumberland Grange said: “Our garden is a much loved space, residents really enjoy looking after the plants and flowers and watching them grow and change through the seasons.  June is such a fantastic time to be outside enjoying the garden, so many of the flowers are in bloom – we’ve all had a great time just being out in the fresh air and admiring our beautiful surroundings.”

Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.

Cumberland Grange Care Home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering high-quality care across its care homes and hospitals. Cumberland Grange provides Residential Care, Dementia Care and Respite Care.
