Cumberland Grange care home in Exeter recently raised over £300 following on from a successful coffee morning held at the home raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, also known as the RNLI.

Volunteers from the RNLI were also present at the coffee morning with their pop-up shop, selling an array of different goodies from cards to diaries and ornaments, with all funds going straight to the charity. Speak George Hislop also attended and held an informative talk on the history of the RNLI which residents and community members found incredibly insightful.

Beth, General Manager at Cumberland Grange, said: “We are always keen to show as much support as we can to local charities. We recognise the amazing work that the RNLI do. It is a charity close to many of our hearts so we wanted to hold a coffee morning with a cake sale and a great raffle and invite family, friends and the community in to join us. It was a great success and we are looking forward to welcoming them back again towards the end of the year.”

Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
