Local Photographer Exhibits Chernobyl Photographs
Exeter-based professional photographer Mark Gawthorne of Evolve Photography is exhibiting a series of photographs he took to commemorate 25 years since the world's worst nuclear accident in Chernobyl and Prypiat.
The haunting photographs showing the deserted towns are on display from 3rd to 28th February at Cafe 36 in Cowick Street, St Thomas - ironically where Mark began his photographic career 23 years ago at the former studio PK Photography. Mark now works as a freelance photographer.
Following the exhibition the framed limited edition prints will be auctioned off to raise money for Children's Hospice South West.
Mark is also giving a series of talks on this photographic documentary and his photography in general to Exeter Camera Club and the WI this year.
