Man charged with murder following Exeter death

A man has been charged following the death of 30-year-old James Woodhouse.

Police continue to investigate the death of a man found in flat 1, Okehampton Road, Exeter, on Monday 21 November.

Brett Williams Edwards, 37, from Okehampton Road, Exeter, was charged for the murder of James Woodhouse and appered before Exeter magistrates via video link this morning.

The victim has been named as 30-year-old James Woodhouse [pictured] who originated from North West England but had resided in the Exeter area for the past seven years. His next of kin have been informed.

Police attended a property in Okehampton Road at around 2pm on Monday afternoon (21st November) and discovered the body of the 30-year-old.

A 47-year-old local man was also arrested on suspicion of murder and police bailed until the 1st February 2017 pending further enquiries.
