Man with suspected spinal injuries after A303 crash

A man has been taken to Wonford hospital with suspected spinal injuries after his car overturned on the A303 near Honiton this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 7am this morning (15 January) due to the accident involving two vehicles.

Fire crews attended the accident and used hydraulic cutting gear to free the man, thought to be aged between 20-30, from a veichle on its side.

A303 closed and slow traffic in both directions between the A30 junction in Upottery and Southfields Roundabout in Donyatt, because of Police accident investigation work.

A diversion via Chard using the A30 and A358 Ilminster roundabout is in effect.
