
Met Office issues weather warning
The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning, indicating heavy rain in the South West today (Monday).
A Yellow Weather Warning indicates the public need to be aware of their weather conditions. Periods of rain, heavy at times, will affect parts of southern England later on today and more particularly on Monday 16th December.
Forecasters say there may be some localised flooding.
The Met Office forecast is as follows:
Monday:
Outbreaks of rain are likely to linger throughout the day. There will be some dry interludes but the rain may turn more persistent and heavier later, especially in the east. Maximum Temperature 12 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Rain clearing to largely bright conditions on Tuesday. Fine start to Wednesday, but becoming very windy, with gales likely, as rain spreads eastwards later. Thursday windy and colder with showers.
