Police are renewing their appeal for the public’s help in locating Gary Knight, 52, from Dawlish, who has been missing for over a week and may be in the Exeter area.

Gary (pictured) went missing from the Haldon Terrace area of Dawlish at around 11.30am on Sunday 12 April and officers are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

The last confirmed sighting of him was in the Gresham House Inn, Dawlish, on the night he went missing.

Officers have been searching and making enquiries in the Dawlish, Exeter and Torquay areas, but so far have been unable to locate him.

Gary is described as white, 5ft 9ins, of stocky build, with a bald head and beard, and wears glasses. He usually wears jeans and a t-shirt or light jumper with a long black overcoat, and he carries a black rucksack.

PC Alastair Johns, based in Teignmouth, said: “There is a possibility that Gary is in the Exeter area and we would like to speak to anyone who has seen him or knows where he is.”

Anyone with information about Gary’s whereabouts is asked to email 101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk, ring 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111, quoting police log 275 of the 13 April.
