M&S Foodhall Exmouth welcomes its first customers

The highly-anticipated Marks & Spencer Foodhall in Exmouth officially opened its doors at 10am today (Wednesday, 29 March), with customers eager to sample a range of the store’s delicious seasonal products.

Open just in time for Easter, the new store on Exmouth’s Royal Avenue welcomed the first twenty customers with a complementary Easter egg, and the local community enjoyed samples of mouth-watering spring treats throughout the day.

The Foodhall boasts a wide variety of innovative products to make Easter weekend extra special - including Toffee Fudge & Belgian Chocolate Hot Cross Buns, the Laid Back Lamb Easter Egg and Made Without Dairy Bunny Ears Egg.

Exmouth’s 59-strong team, the majority of whom have been recruited from the local area, welcomed customers into their eagerly-awaited Foodhall alongside store manager Andrew Griffiths, who has worked at M&S for over 30 years.

Commenting on the opening, Andrew said: “We are absolutely delighted at the response that we’ve had from the local community about their new Exmouth store. Easter is such an exciting time to open because we have so many unique products for customers to try, including our new savoury Cheese and Onion Hot Cross Buns.

“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so being able to hear their feedback has been fantastic, and we look forward to getting to know the local community more in the coming weeks.”

The Foodhall, which lies just a stone’s throw away from Exmouth station, not only offers a broad variety of M&S’s everyday essentials, seasonal favourites and prepare meals, but also the brand new and unique M&S sushi range including the Salmon & Prawn Nigiri, Signature Fish Selection and Rainbow Vegetable Maki.

Customers will also be able to take advantage of the popular Collect in Store service which gives customers the option to have their M&S.com orders delivered to the store the next day free of charge.
 
The store is located on Royal Avenue, Exmouth, EX8 1EN and will be open from 08:00-20:00 Monday-Saturday and from 10:00-16:00 on Sundays.
