Grab your trainers, call on all your friends and join Women’s Running for its 5K and 10K race event, hitting Exeter for the first time in the event’s four year history.

On the 26th June Women’s Running magazine and its Women’s Running 10K race will be arriving in Exeter for the first time, promising a fun, friendly and supportive atmosphere at the picturesque Riverside Valley Park, which is expected to be filled with women of all ages and abilities taking to the start line.

So whether you‘re looking to tackle your first race, hunting down a 10K personal best finishing time or keen to see who is the fastest amongst your friends, this event and its 5K and 10K options make for the perfect race day for all.

Race finisher Lesley Sheridan said: "This is always a great race. Because it’s all women, I think everyone has less inhibitions; they’re more likely to chat to each other and it just feels more local and homely!”

The Women’s Running 10K Race Series has partnered with nationwide initiatives This Girl Can and the Workplace Challenge and looks forward to welcoming hundreds of newcomers to the event and to the ever-growing Women’s Running community on race day.

Race organiser David castle said: “The Women’s Running 10K series was created to provide events for female runners of all abilities to run together in a friendly and fun environment to achieve their personal targets. The atmosphere on the day is always amazing.

"Whether you’re first or last to cross the line it doesn’t matter; what matters is that you’ve joined a group of like-minded women united in their love for the sport of running.

"Women run our events for so many different reasons, whether it’s for charity or for fitness, we celebrate every single one of them. We look forward to meeting you and your team on race day!”

All those who enter will receive a free goodie bag, filled with nutritional goods, beauty products, quality kit, event t-shirt and finishers’ medal.

Their race will include four pacers to both guide and support you around the course and throughout the race, ensuring you reach the finish line in your desired time.

Race entry starts from £21.
