Nominations open for Research Awards 2020
A new award ceremony celebrating innovation and excellence in research across Cornwall, Devon & Somerset is now open for nominations.
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), Clinical Research Network, South West Peninsula has launched its new Research Awards. This is an opportunity to recognise exceptional achievements and dedication to research delivery in the region.
Nominations are now open and there are 12 categories:
- Early Career Research Award
- Early Career Trainee Network Award
- Principal Investigator Award
- Contribution in a Community Setting Award
- Research Practice Award
- Public Engagement Award
- Patient Research Experience Team Award
- Innovation Award
- Research Administrator or Co-ordinator Award
- Research Nurse or Midwife Award
- Research Allied Health Professional (AHP) Award
- Outstanding Research Contribution Team Award

An online form has been created to capture nominations. You can nominate multiple times. Please use a separate form for each nomination.

All shortlisted nominees will be invited to the evening award ceremony on 13 March 2020 at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel, Plymouth.
Nominations will be judged by a panel of experts and the shortlisted nominees will be invited to an evening award ceremony that promises to be an exciting celebration of research excellence in the South West region. Awards will be presented by Jonathan Sheffield the CEO of the Clinical Research Network. Senior Executives from the organisations across the region will also be in attendance.
