Notice served on 'legal high' shop

A Closure Notice has been served today (Monday 3 November) on a ’legal high shop’ in Exeter.

The closure notice was served on The Wicked Head High Shop, located in South Street, Exeter under Section 76 of The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime & Policing Act 2014, new legislation which came into effect on 20 October.

This follows complaints over a sustained period regarding anti-social behaviour, nuisance and disorder by clients attending the premises.

This is thought to be the first time this particular legislation has been implemented against a legal high shop in the Country.

Following the serving of the notice a hearing will be held at Exeter Magistrates Court at 3.30pm tomorrow (Tuesday 4 November) when an application will be made for a full closure order.
